Today I got out of bed super late (like. 1pm late) because I was up super late working on various art requests and trades. It's actually been pretty fun to work on, especially since I felt like I've gotten a bit too "precious" with my art works and hadn't really branched out as much. I also was working on some concept art for the Newberry Award to include with my application. I also made some commission posts since I'm gonna have to be trying to do some fundraising again for Cat's fund... thinking of making a page or post to compile the different references and links that I've shared over time.
Ant Update: They seem to have diminished since it stopped raining on Monday, but I'm still suspicious of them. I'm planning on putting out some Terro since I kind of procrastinated on it earlier.
Today I had promised some folks that I would watch some of The Devil's Crown, so I streamed eps 1-2. 1 is still a banger, I think 2 is a little complicated because of the church plots but still one of my favorite series ever. I have been toying with the idea of making a shrine on my angevinyaoiz site, but not sure how to go about it yet. I'm still trying to work out how to do formatting and stuff like that which is all very good and fun but I've mostly been thinking of only information lately. I've been having fun hanging out in this recent new server with historical artists and such, it's been very nice place to hang out and chat with some longtime mutuals.
For some recent watching and recommending–been watching this guy on youtube who reviews books, "The Rambling Racounteur" who I really enjoy. Aside from being well-read, he has a real way of sharing enthusiasm and information for the books he's reading without being too spoilery, and genuinely makes me interested in reading more as well. I feel a lot of "booktube" or book-branded accounts tend to turn me off because they tend to come in two main forms, either "Let's talk about the CONTROVERSIAL booktok of the day" or "you must read le western classics to debrainworm your mind," both of which are like, fine, but seem to be weirdly idk....combative? Against an imaginary foe or accusation of illiteracy, which makes it exhausting to engage with. I just like people talking well about what they like and being able to both intelligently explain why and connect it to other knowledge! Anyways I do highly recommend.
Site Stuff: Trying to figure out how to incorporate a RSS feed (found this tutorial being the only one that kind of idk made it make more sense step by step) but it's kind of complex to me and it's not like I have a lot going on so I guess I'll just keep it on my "to do later" (forever) tasks. I do want to make this site look nicer at some point (like at least have some MARGINS) but I'm tired and doesn't seem like a real priority right now. I guess I'm a little excited because I finally figured out to use one for my OWN feed and usage (mostly to follow webcomics) but whatever.
Art Stuff: I also want to upload some more of my art here but I am also so lazy... will prob throw my doodles and such on a page.
